Aizen Meridian: Advanced Product Variation Management System - Custom Velo E-Commerce Solution I engineered a sophisticated, custom product management system using Velo to significantly extend Wix Stores' native capabilities. I designed this solution to provide highly granular control over product variations and their frontend display, enabling a richer, more dynamic e-commerce experience. Custom Database Architecture: I built the system on modular backend Velo code that interacts dynamically with the Wix Data API. I designed and implemented a custom database collection, ExclusiveVariants, working in tandem with the default Stores collection. This enables businesses to associate unique image galleries and videos with specific product option combinations (e.g., displaying a specific image for a red, large shirt) - functionality unavailable out-of-the-box. Advanced Management Tools: I developed key functionalities including: Bulk Editor System: I created a feature that identifies common options across multiple products and applies variant images in single operations, drastically reducing manual data entry and management time. Variant Cloning Tool: I built functionality to quickly replicate complex variant setups from one product to another, ensuring consistency and operational efficiency. 'Final View' Image Logic: I implemented dynamic image display that shows specific images only when customers select complete and valid product option sets, providing immediate visual confirmation of their choices. Dynamic Frontend Integration: My robust backend solution directly powers a dynamic customer selection process, ensuring users see exact visual representations of the products they're configuring. The system seamlessly handles complex option combinations while maintaining optimal performance and user experience. A Hiker's Friend: Who are we? Well we are a website for hikers to find everything they need to know about all things hiking. Set up by myself, Josh Welch, an avid, keen and young hiker who wants to share my experiences with others to help them grow as I do. I am a one man band who does everything by myself, it's not easy but I love every moment of what I do in sharing all I can with others. This site is a community project set up with the aim to share not only the basic details of a hike but rather more detailed notes and directions about the trail you want to walk. I’m constantly seeking to further develop the site to provide new features such as our interactive trail maps but this incurs quite a large cost for ongoing development. ​ Your support in making this site possible is greatly appreciated and this can come in many different forms such as adding a hike, submitting an article, buying from the AHF Store or even becoming a AHF+ Member which comes with added content and features for just $10 a year. Verovitalis: Wix to Bexio Automated Order Sync - End-to-End Integration Solution I engineered a robust, automated workflow that synchronizes new orders from a Wix e-commerce store directly into the Bexio accounting system. This solution eliminates manual data entry and ensures real-time financial record accuracy by bridging the gap between both platforms. I built the architecture around three core components: Wix Velo Event Handling: I implemented Velo's full-stack development platform to capture real-time e-commerce events. I developed backend code for the onOrderApproved event that securely collects complete order payloads—including customer details, line items, and totals—then initiates the synchronization process by calling my custom-built external API endpoint. Serverless Node.js Backend on Vercel: I developed a custom Node.js application deployed as a serverless function on Vercel for optimal scalability and cost-efficiency. This backend serves as the central integration hub, exposing a secure API route that receives order data from the Wix site. I implemented comprehensive business logic including data validation, format transformation from Wix order structure to Bexio API requirements, and orchestrated the entire communication flow. This decoupled architecture ensures complex integration logic is handled outside the Wix environment for enhanced performance and maintainability. Advanced Bexio API Integration: I created a dedicated BexioClient class in Node.js to manage all Bexio interactions. This client handles secure authentication using personal access tokens and encapsulates all necessary API calls for creating contacts, orders, and invoices. I implemented an intelligent "draft workflow" that creates draft orders and invoices in Bexio rather than final documents, allowing business owners manual review and approval control. I also engineered a dynamic configuration system that automatically fetches correct tax rates and revenue accounts from Bexio, making the solution resilient to accounting setup changes. This project demonstrates my ability to design and build complete end-to-end integration solutions. It showcases my expertise in Wix Velo for frontend event management, Node.js for creating scalable serverless backends, custom API route design and consumption, and navigating complex third-party financial APIs like Bexio with advanced tax handling requirements. The solution provides seamless automation while maintaining business control through the draft approval process, representing a perfect balance of efficiency and oversight in financial workflow management.
